Confused about how government in NYC works and, more importantly, effects you in North Brooklyn? Come grab a drink with NAG while we untangle the myriad of institutions that effect our daily life. We will be cocktail crawling from Greenpoint to the Southside, visiting four of our favorite watering holes, grabbing a stiff cold one or two while we try to clarify the exact role of the community, city, state and federal governmental organizations and inspire you to become an active citizen in the political life of North Brooklyn. It may seem like a byzantine nightmare to participate in local politics, but we at NAG think it is not only easy & fun, but fundamentally important for the sustainability and future of our neighborhood.

NAG Action is the first Tuesday of every month at various locales around the neighborhood. The topics are determined by NAG’s (volunteer) organizers, rotating between teach-ins, skillshares, group discussions, and actions. Areas of focus center around the immediate concerns of our community. We will be looking to local experts on each topic to help us teach, so by asking you to attend we are also asking you to participate.
The best part of NAG Action is that we welcome you to join us at any level of neighborhood knowledge. Whether you’ve been in the ‘hood your entire life or just arrived last week, there are things that we can all learn, share, and do together to better our community.
