Williamsburg Walks is an event on a car-free Bedford Avenue intended to make attendees rethink their public space and to offer a space to celebrate the neighborhood. The event is organized by Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and the L Magazine with the support of Project for the Public Spaces and of the New York City Department of Transportation Weekend Walks Program.
The 2010 edition will happen on Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27. This new format is a response to opinions expressed by groups in the community and from our desire to find an inclusive and sustainable model for the years to come. This year we will create a place where you can relax or shop and think all the while.
